Canara Robeco Asset Management Company has launched Canara Capital Protection Oriented Fund, Series-7.
The 1,096-day close-ended capital protection-oriented fund, is open for subscription from Friday till September 2, and will be benchmarked against Crisil MIP Blended Index. The scheme will be listed on the NSE, a company statement said here.
The scheme follows a passive investment strategy for the fixed income component of the scheme wherein the investments would be made only in the highest-rated fixed income securities with the objective of capital protection, it said.
The equity component of the scheme will be primarily invested in diversified equity and equity-related instruments that have the potential to appreciate in the long run. The asset allocation of the scheme will be 70-100 per cent in debt and money market instruments and 0-30 per cent in equity and equity-linked instruments, the statement said.
“The fund offers a one-stop solution to investors. The fund invests in a blend of debt and equity whereby it secures the capital by investing in debt instruments with an opportunity to gain from the exposure to equities,” Ravi Gopalakrishnan, Canara Robeco AMC Head — Equities, said.
