Despite the market enjoying the bull party, some auto makers such as Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motor and Tata Motors may see some pressure at Dalal Street. These companies have witnessed a dip in sales in November. In the two-wheelers segment, the largest manufacturer Hero MotoCorp, reported a dip in sales in November, followed by Chennai-based TVS Motor Company. Tata Motors’ total sales for passenger and commercial vehicles declined around 14 per cent. The company, in fact, closed down its Jamshedpur plant to align its production with demand. However, Mahindra & Mahindra’s and Maruti Suzuki reported higher sales in November, when compared with the year-ago period. Similarly, Eicher Motors also reported higher sales figures. In the two-wheelers segment, Hero MotoCorp’s sales declined by over six per cent, while TVS Motor Company’s sales fell four per cent. Ashok Leyland and Bajaj Auto are yet to declare their sales numbers.
