Mahindra & Mahindra traded firm to make further gains on the BSE by close on Thursday. At 3.40 p.m. the M&M stock was trading at Rs 1,016.05, up 2.52 per cent on its previous close of Rs 991.05.
HDFC Bank also edged up to trade at Rs 742.40, up 2.32 per cent on its Wednesday close of Rs 725.55.
Pharma company Dr Reddy's Labs was trading at Rs 2,752 as against Rs 2,690.20 at close on Wednesday. This represented a gain of 2.30 per cent.
ONGC advanced to hold gains of 2.29 per cent at Rs 324.20 as against its earlier close of Rs 316.95.
Coal India moved up 2.02 per cent to trade at Rs 265 as against Rs 259.75 at close yesterday.
