Sun Pharma Industries made rapid strides to emerge the top gainer on the NSE as well by the close on Tuesday. At 3.25 pm it was up 4.44 per cent at ₹840.95. The stock had closed Monday’s session at ₹805.20.
Cipla also spurted 3.11 per cent to quote at ₹647.65 as against ₹628.10 at close on Monday.
Tata Power charged up 2.54 per cent at ₹90.70. The stock had ended yesterday’s session at ₹88.45.
State Bank of India rose 2.36 per cent at ₹2,659. The share had closed Monday's session at ₹2,597.80.
BPCL made further ground to hold gains of 2.34 per cent at ₹702.20. The share had ended the previous session at ₹686.15.
