NTPC made further ground in the second half to hold gains of 1.40 ahead of the close on the BSE on Wednesday. At 3.25 pm it was trading at ₹115.60 as against the previous close of ₹114.
State Bank of India was trading at ₹2,077 as against ₹2,051.75 at close on Tuesday. This represented a gain of 1.23 per cent.
Sun Pharma came off its morning highs by the close. It was trading at ₹630.45 as against ₹625.25 at close on Tuesday, representing a gain of 0.83 per cent.
Axis Bank was up a tad at ₹1,543.60. This was a gain of 0.37 per cent on its previous close of ₹1,537.95.
