Tata Steel stayed ahead of the pack near the close on the BSE on Friday. At 3.15 p.m. it held gains of 2.76 per cent to trade at ₹356.10 as against its earlier close of ₹346.55.
Tata Power charged up by close to hold gains of 2.64 per cent at ₹73.90 as against ₹72 at close overnight.
Mahindra & Mahindra moved up to hold gains of 2.39 per cent at ₹890.10. It had closed the previous session at ₹869.30.
GAIL (India) resumed its firm run to trade at ₹357.85 as against ₹349.80 at close on Thursday. This represented a gain of 2.30 per cent.
Bharti Airtel made further ground by close on Friday. It was trading at ₹315.05 near the close as against yesterday’s close of ₹308.40. This represented a gain of 2.16 per cent.
