The Foreign Investment Promotion Board will meet on Friday to consider proposals from various companies on foreign direct investment. HDFC Bank’s proposal seeking post-facto approval of an increase in the foreign investment limit is among the proposals. In the recent recast, global major MSCI excluded HDFC Bank from its global index from November 24 due to lower headroom for foreign investment. Punj Lloyd is seeking foreign investment for its defence sector.

Minda board meets for onus, stock split

Shares of Minda Industries will remain in focus, as its board is meeting on Friday to approve 1:1 bonus issue and sub-division of equity shares from face value ₹10 to ₹2. The board will also take on record the financial results for the quarter/ half-year ended September 30. The stock will remain active till the record date, which will determine the eligible shareholders to receive the benefits. Currently, about 4,890 retail investors hold 8.77 per cent stake in Minda.

The market will keenly watch bad debt details for SBI and outlook for Tata Motors.
