SBI Life Insurance Company reported a 6 per cent growth in net profit at ₹225 crore in the second quarter of the fiscal.
This was its first results announcement post listing last month.
The company’s net premium income for Q2 was ₹5,384 crore, a 9 per cent growth over the corresponding period in the previous year.
Individual new business premium rose 45 per cent to ₹1,988 crore.
ULIPs accounted for 60 per cent of the new business premium, compared with 51 per cent for the full fiscal 2016-17.
Solvency ratio of the company at 2.09 was marginally lower than 2.14 recorded last year.
