There is a need to create intellectual property with proprietary rights, according to M.M Pallam Raju, Union Minister for Human Resources.
Speaking after inaugurating a building for the School of Life Sciences at the University of Hyderabad here on Thursday, Pallam Raju said this could be done only by expanding the knowledge base.
Ramakrishna Ramaswamy, Vice Chancellor, UoH said the university emerged as leading institution for academic research.
Going forward, there would be more focus on education technology and online teaching, he added.
The 2.70 lakh sqft building was constructed with Rs 37 crore and has 'smart' classes connected with wi-fi.
