‘Smart Bardhaman’, a citizen governance mobile app, was launched by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during her Bardhaman visit today. The Chief Minister is convening her 100th administrative meeting there.
The mobile app has been designed and developed by Kolkata-based Indus Net Technologies.
The app will ensure public services reach out to the citizens at large. The app gives easy and single point access to contact information on all citizen governance departments of Bardhaman district.
The app will help the public lodge complaints against departments such as PWD, municipalities, block and sub-divisional offices, and the panchayat samiti regarding basic infrastructure such as roads, drainage, street lights, and water supply, and track them using a unique user ID, the company said in a press release.
Moreover, information on Government schemes such as Kanyashree, Minority Scholarships, Vocational and Industrial Training, could also be accessed through this app.
