Prozone Intu today announced the formal launch of Prozone Mall in Coimbatore on July 21.
The mall, set up on 12 acres on Sathy Road is jointly promoted by the UK-based Intu Properties and Prozone and designed by Bentel Architects, South Africa, said Nikhil Chaturvedi, Managing Director, Prozone Intu Properties.
With the launch, Coimbatore becomes the second city in India, after Aurangabad, with a Prozone mall. “Our next project will come up in Nagpur in three years,” he said.
The structure is horizontal with ground plus one development of over 5 lakh sq ft. “It is designed to offer maximum convenience and comfort to shoppers, a balanced tenant mix with over 120 marquee tenants.”
The promoters are planning a 9-screen Inox cineplex. The infrastructure includes large atriums, wide walkways, tenant zoning, security, covered car parking for more than 2,500 vehicles, food court etc.
The mall will be fully functional by August 10. The total investment on the project is around ₹350 crore, Chaturvedi said.
