An amount of Rs 164.25 crore would be used to develop the forests of Poonch city in Jammu and Kashmir as eco-tourism destination, a State Minister said on Monday.
“The project for the hill top overlooking the Poonch township with dense forest cover envisages construction of eco-friendly tourist huts, walking path and viewpoints,” Forests and Environment Minister Mian Altaf Ahmed said in a review meeting here.
The department has already completed an eco-tourism project at Dara Ki Gali, he said.
