The Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC), has announced the commencement of online submission of its PGPEX course. Submissions, which began on June 27, will continue till August 31.

This will be the ninth year of this residential programme that claims to have a combination of theoretical knowledge, problem-solving skills, orientation of ethics and human values, case discussions, experience-sharing and networking opportunities for middle- and senior-level executives.

The PGPEX programme gives mid-career professionals an ideal platform to augment their existing skill sets as they equip themselves to face challenging roles in the industry, the institute said in a release.

“The course covers modules suitable for professionals …..  given that it can be completed in one year....,” Professor Saibal Chattopadhyay, Director, IIM Calcutta, said according to the release.

This session, the PGPEX students will be going to Mannheim Business School, Germany, and Ashridge Business School, United Kingdom, in two groups between July 28 and August 8, 2014 (for their immersion).

While 25 students will be going to Ashridge Business School for the Global Leadership Immersion Module, 25 students will be going to Mannheim for the module ‘Doing Business in Germany’.

IIMC will be organising the ‘PGPExplain’ on July 12 simultaneously in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata where aspiring candidates (for PGPEX) can meet faculty and alumni and discuss programme details, admission processes, and expected takeaways from the programme.

Apart from being a graduate, candidates need to have a 'valid’ GMAT score and five years of full-time professional/managerial experience after graduation.
