Data analytics firm Crayon Data has raised ₹7.3 crore (S$1.5 million) from two Singapore-based investors – Jungle Ventures and Springs Seeds Capital.

“What Crayon Data has set out to do is cutting edge. Their SimplerChoices platform is a differentiated play, and one that is already helping traditional enterprises like banks, retailers, telcos and hotels offer more effective choices for their consumers, while changing the way they use big data,” said Anurag Srivastava, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Jungle Ventures, a venture capital firm.

Springs Seeds is Singapore’s Government-owned investor. Founded in 2012 by two IIM-Calcutta graduates – Suresh Shankar and Srikant Sastri – Crayon Data has developed a platform that searches for hidden patterns. It has development centres in Singapore and Chennai.
