The CA Institute has set up an information technology training (ITT) centre at Dubai. This is the first such centre to be set up outside India by the ICAI.
The ITT Centre was inaugurated by the Corporate Affairs Minister, Dr Veerappa Moily at Dubai on Saturday in the presence of ICAI President, Mr G Ramaswamy and the ICAI Vice-President, Mr Jaydeep Shah. Currently, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has about 150 ITT centres across India, with more than 5,000 computers.
The training focuses on application software relevant for accounting and auditing.
