JSW Steel on Monday reported nine per cent increase in its crude steel production in January to 5.8 lakh tonnes from 5.33 lakh tonnes a year earlier.
The Sajjan Jindal-led firm’s flat rolled products’ output increased by 39 per cent to 4.62 lakh tonnes during the month from 3.34 lakh tonnes in the same month last year, it said in a statement.
However, long rolled products’ production dipped to 0.91 lakh tonnes registering a 10 per cent decline from 1.01 lakh tonnes in January 2010.
