Surya Roshni today reported a 19.24 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 14.19 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013.
The company, which manufactures electrical bulbs, tube lights and steel pipes, had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 11.90 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal, Surya Roshni said in a filing to the BSE.
The company’s standalone income from operations stood at Rs 708.53 crore in the April-June quarter, compared to Rs 628.38 crore during the same period last year.
The company’s shares were trading at Rs 64.35 per scrip on the BSE during afternoon trade, down 6.13 per cent from the previous close.
