Ashok Leyland has received a ₹ 350 crore order from VRL Logistics Ltd for supplying 1,200 trucks. The order is for supply of models ‘3123’ and ‘3723’ (600 each).
“VRL Logistics and Ashok Leyland have a long-standing relationship which surpasses the usual customer, vendor relationship. VRL has, over the years, not only been our customers but have also worked very closely with us in developing new products which suit various customers. We are confident, with this fresh order, our relationship has become deeper and stronger,” said Vinod Dasari, Managing Director, Ashok Leyland.
The trucks from Ashok Leyland will come fitted with the latest in features and technology, which are expected to help VRL have a reduced maintenance time, fewer stop overs, better efficiency resulting in better uptime and increased profitability.
Though we are associated with multiple commercial vehicle manufacturers 80 per cent of our existing fleet is procured from Ashok Leyland. We have a long standing mutually beneficial business association with Ashok Leyland and acknowledge their reliability, timely technological advancements and extremely pro-active after sale service,” said Vijay Sankeshwar, Chairman and Managing Director, VRL Logistics.
