Baxter International has opened its new global IT shared services centre in Bangalore, which would help the company support the healthcare major's enterprise IT needs.
The 2,500 sq ft facility is located at Prestige Shantiniketan in Whitefield. It houses 150 staff, who will develop and deploy enterprise-wide IT solutions that support critical operations from HR, manufacturing, finance, quality compliance, legal and other functions within the organisation, according to a company statement.
This is expected to improve operational efficiencies, implement cost-saving processes and models, and provide real-time information to support business decisions and compliance, the statement added.
"This centre will enable us to ramp up quickly to deliver IT services to our internal customers to minimise risks and optimise cost,” said Paul Martin, Baxter’s corporate Vice-President and Chief Information Officer.
