As part of its national campaign against FDI in retail, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has released a book — FDI in Retail Trade of India — Assumptions V/s Facts.
The book attempts to touch related aspects and implications. The publication was necessitated to counter a “smear campaign” against traders, a CAIT release said.
CAIT said it would release supplementary study papers in future on the adverse impact of FDI in retail on farmers, transporters, SMEs, consumers and the economy.
It has convened a two-day “national conclave” of leading trade leaders of different states on May 10 in New Delhi.
