CV Anand has taken over as the Regional Executive Director (South) of NTPC Ltd, at its Southern Region Headquarters in Hyderabad.
Prior to this he was the Regional Executive Director of NTPC Western Region-I in Mumbai and was also holding additional charge as Regional Executive Director of Southern Region.
A mechanical engineering graduate from Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi, Anand joined NTPC as an Executive Engineer Trainee in 1983. During his career spanning over 36 years, he made enormous contributions in improving the operation, maintenance and commissioning systems of NTPC power plants and the commercial aspects of its power business, said a company release.
He had earlier served as ED/Chief Executive Officer of NTECL-Vallur, a 1,500 MW joint venture thermal power plant of NTPC and Tangedco near Chennai, and Executive Director (Operation Services) at EOC-Noida and various other projects, the statement added.
