Deepak Nitrite Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 6.6 crore during Q3 FY11, a rise of 20 per cent compared with Rs 5.53 crore in Q3 FY10. The revenue was Rs 171.11 crore against Rs 141.18 crore, a growth of 21 per cent year-on-year. For the nine-month period ending December 31, 2010, the company's PAT was Rs 17.98 crore, 34 per cent higher than the Rs 13.40-crore posted in the same period of the previous fiscal. Revenue was up 26 per cent at Rs 471.79 crore.
Mr Deepak C. Mehta, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, said, “We have increased volumes through de-bottlenecking of existing facilities and improvement in product mix. A focus on working capital management and control of interest costs has improved profitability. We remain confident of our prospects as we are witnessing robust demand for our products especially colour intermediates and agro intermediates.”
