FMCG major Emami has introduced gel, spray and roll-on formats for Zandu, its pain management solution brand. While, the Zandu gel and spray formats will cater to the body-ache and joint pain segments; the roll-on will look at providing relief from headache.

In India, the gel/ointment market is valued at around Rs 1,400 crore.

“Based on clinical studies, the new Zandu gel is clinically proven to provide 2.7X better relief from back pain and 1.7X better relief from knee stiffness,” the company claimed in its release. .

The new Zandu gel is available in pack sizes of 15 ml and 30 ml priced at Rs 50 and Rs 98 respectively.

Zandu spray, on the other hand, is available in a pack size of 35 gm priced at Rs 100.

The Zandu roll-on, meanwhile, comes in a 9 ml pack priced at Rs 50. ​
