Home-grown FMCG company Emami has launched two variants of organic aloe vera gel.

BoroPlus Organic Aloe Vera Gel is enriched with pure and natural elements such as antiseptic herbs and Vitamin E, free from parabens, sulphates and mineral oil, the company claimed.

“It offers a holistic, one-stop care solution not only for facial and body skin but also for scalp and hair,” the company said in a release.

Aloe vera addresses multiple skin and hair problems such as dull, dry skin/hair, dandruff, pimples, dark spots, tanning, fine lines, hair frizziness, sunburns, shaving cuts and also acts as a post-waxing moisturiser.

Modern lifestyle has nudged consumer choice steadily towards natural products and basic solutions, said Priti A Sureka, Director, Emami.

“Aloe vera is a relatively new category, but one growing fast at a rate of 15-20 per cent y-o-y. We believe it is the ideal time for an iconic brand like BoroPlus, which enjoys a strong brand equity, to diversify further to a 100 per cent organic product like aloe vera gel,” she said.

Two variants, BoroPlus 100% Organic Aloe Vera Gel and BoroPlus 100% Organic Aloe Vera Gel Haldi Chandan Kesar have been launched in 60 ml packs priced at ₹50 and ₹55, respectively; the 150 ml SKUs (stock keeping units) are priced at ₹95 and ₹110, respectively.
