Welspun Corp has said an electrical fire had occurred at its US plant in Little Rock on Saturday morning.
The plant was shut for the week-end when the accident happened. The fire was doused in a few hours.
The fire did not affect the ongoing ERW (electrical resistance welding process) expansion programme at the same location.
The plant is expected to recommence operations in six to eight weeks. The loss due to the fire is being estimated, the company informed the stock exchange here.
