State-promoted Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) on Wednesday reported an increase of 52.68 per cent in profit after tax (PAT) and 19.48 per cent in sales in the first quarter of 2014-15, ended June 30, as compared to the corresponding period last fiscal.
While the sales turnover was Rs 493.91 crore (Rs 413.38 crore), PAT stood at Rs 56.95 crore (Rs 37.30 crore), according to a release by Atanu Chakraborty, Managing Director.
