Harrisons Malayalam Ltd, a part of RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, has received the Confederation of Indian Industry-Southern Region, Environment, Health and Safety Award for its tea factory in Wentworth, and rubber factories in Kumbazha, Mooply and Nagamallay for 2017.
The CII-SR EHS Excellence Awards initiative is designed to provide a benchmarking tool to compare environment, health and safety best practices across South India and assist in continuous process of improvement.
Harrisons Malayalam is already a recipient of a number of national and international accreditation in sustainability and product traceability such as Ethical Tea Partnership, Rain Forest Alliance, UTZ and Trust Tea. It is the fourth consecutive year HML estates are recognised by CII with EHS awards.
