The new vehicle that Mahindra & Mahindra is launching on Wednesday, the XUV 500, will be “gadget-packed” automobile, says Mr Rajan Wadhera, Chief Executive – Technology, M&M. The vehicle, for instance, will feature “rain-sensitive wiper” and “sunlight-sensitive headlamp”, he said in an interaction with Business Line today.
Mr Wadhera said that after the success of Scorpio (launched in 2007), M&M decided that it must have in its product portfolio a ‘crossover'. “Not a SUV, not a car, but a cross over,” he said, but added, “we are not calling it a crossover. It is up to the customer to decide what to call it.”
