F6S, a global platform for start-ups, and other stakeholders will roll out a $200-million support programme, called F6S Alpha Upai, specially designed for entrepreneurs in the country.
As many as 200 ‘high-quality’ start-up founders will get a support of $1 million each. The support, however, is not directly fiduciary.
“It is going to be in the form of priority access to reputed start-up events, airlines tickets, access to co-working spaces of WeWork, free hosting from Rackspace, and others,” Santosh Yellajosula, co-founder, F6S, told BusinessLine .
F6S had formally announced the launch of Upai in Sepetember.
The hand-picked entrepreneurs will be given F6S Alpha Cards, a global product that helps them save money. “Each Alpha Card drives $1million of value through deals.”
Upai plans to rope in five State governments and 10 top incubators in the next few weeks.
Santosh said the firm has given away benefits worth $20 billion to over 20,000 founders globally, under the programme. F6S’ platform has over 1.5 millon profiles of founders, 6 lakh start-ups and over 12,000 start-up programmes, including investors, investment firms, incubators and accelerators.
“We have already finalised three State governments. We will identify all the 10 incubators and five governments by the end of November. The first list of Upai founders will be released on the Republic Day in 2017,” Santosh said.
Santosh also heads the regional chapter of Kairos Society, an invitation-only association that helps start-ups and fledgling entrepreneurs expand globally.
