European car manufacturer Volkswagen has launched the petrol variant of its popular hatchback Polo in India priced at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The New Polo GT TSI (and is available with 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. The New Polo is equipped with 1.2-litre, four-cylinder TSI (a technology for petrol engines by Volkswagen) engine with a maximum power output of 77 Kw at 5,000 RPM and a maximum torque of 175 Nm at 1,500-4,100 RPM.
“In the current market scenario, fuel efficiency has become vital for every customer looking at purchasing a new car. Under these circumstances we strongly feel the need to provide our customer with a choice to opt for an efficient petrol car,” said Arvind Saxena, Managing Director (Passenger Cars) Volkswagen Group Sales India.
Volkswagen, which has presence in more than 150 countries, sells Polo, Vento, Jetta, Passat and he Touareg in Indian market.
