At the 39th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (ATMA), Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd; and KM Mammen, Chairman & Managing Director, MRF Ltd were unanimously elected as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the industry body respectively. Set up in 1975, ATMA is amongst the most active national industry bodies in the country representing the ₹48,000-crore automotive tyre industry. As many as 10 large tyre companies, comprising a mix of Indian and international tyre majors, are members of the association. ATMA is a key link between the tyre manufacturers and the government and assists in relevant policy formulation on the tyre industry.
