Domestic production of crude oil and natural gas fell in April 2015 on a year-on-year basis, according to data released by the Ministry for Petroleum and Natural Gas. This is after a month of marginal increase in crude oil production.
Natural gas production fell 3.6 per cent to 2.669 billion cubic meter in April compared with 2.769 billion cu. m. in the same month last year. Crude oil production dropped 2.7 per cent to 3.020 million tonne in April against 3.104 mt in the same month last year.
Meanwhile, the country's refinery throughput fell 2.9 per cent year-on-year in April. Total crude throughput at refineries in April was at 17.088 mt against 17.603 mt in the same month last year.
