Eastern Railway introduced from today (Sunday) three new trains. These are 13027 Up/13028 Dn Howrah-Azimganj Kaviguru Express, 13013 Up/13014 Dn Barddhaman-Rampurhat tri-weekly Express and 53547 Up/53548 Dn Andal-Jasidih Passenger (via Jamuria-Barabani), according to an ER release.
Meanwhile, Mr Varun Bharthuar, General Manager, Eastern Railway, recently held meetings with office-bearers of recognised unions such as Eastern Railwaymen's Union, Eastern Railwaymen's Congress, Eastern Railway Officers' Association, Eastern Railway Promotee Officers' Association and Eastern Railway Protection Force Association and discussed with them various issues like how to increase railway earnings and reduce expenditure, improve safety and punctuality in the running of trains, step up productivity and efficiency and boost quality of services and upgrade cleanliness to the satisfaction of users.
Providing proper training to employees at various levels too came up for a review, the release added.
