Eastern Railway (ER) will run 168 summer special trains this year as against 120 last year. A total of 118,416 extra berths will be provided in these special trains. The trains will run between April 8 and June 30, according to an ER release.
The bookings in all summer specials started on February 20. The routes include Kolkata-Delhi and Kolkata –Kathgodam (weekly super fast), Kolkata-Raxaul (weekly express), Howrah-New Jalpaiguri ( weekly special), Howrah-Mumbai (weekly special), Asansol-Alipurduar (weekly special) and Bhagalpur-New Delhi (weekly superfast ), the release added.
