Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone has posted a 39.94 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 228.46 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.
Net profit during the October-December quarter last fiscal stood at Rs 163.25 crore, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
During the December quarter, the total income swelled to Rs 450.76 crore from Rs 337.83 crore in the year-ago period, the filing added.
Mundra Port has declared an interim dividend of Re 0.50 on the equity shares of Rs 2 face value for its shareholders.
The company shares jumped by 2.38 per cent to Rs 137.60 apiece in the early trade on the BSE today.
