Mr Paul Antony has assumed charge as the Chairman, Cochin Port Trust. He belongs to 1983 batch IAS of the Kerala Cadre.
He was holding the post of Principal Secretary Power, Kerala Government, prior to joining as the Chairman Cochin Port Trust.
During 2000-05, he was Development Commissioner of Cochin Special Economic Zone and in this capacity he was a Trustee of Cochin Port Trust Board.
He had also held offices of Principal Secretary-SC&ST Development Department; Commissioner-Commercial Taxes; Managing Director, Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation; Collector in Kollam and Alapuzha districts and Director of Industries and Commerce Department in the Kerala Government.
He is a Post Graduate in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and has a Masters in Public Economic Management from Birmingham University, UK.
He has undergone various trainings including on Negotiating Strategies and Public Private Partnership from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore; Infrastructure Development and Financing from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Industrial Policy Planning and Development from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata, etc.
