Financial bids for developing Beawar-Pali-Pindwara highway stretch can now be invited. The total project cost is an estimated Rs 2,517.79 crore.
The Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure on Thursday approved the development of four laning of 244.12 km Beawar-Pali-Pindwara section in Rajasthan on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis in build-operate-transfer (Toll) mode of delivery.
The total project cost is estimated at Rs 2,517.79 crore under DBFOT pattern. The concession period is 23 years including construction period of 30 months. The project is covered in the Ajmer, Pali and Sirohi in Rajasthan.
The main object of the project is to expedite the improvement of infrastructure in Rajasthan and also in reducing the time and cost of travel for commercial and other traffic plying between Beawar-Pali-Pindwara section.
This corridor links major cities of Rajasthan with East-West corridor, and also connects them to two ports — Kandla and Mundra in Gujarat.
