Transport unions opposing high third party insurance hike have joined hands for a truckers strike, albeit from different dates, according to Indian Foundation of Transport Research and Training (IFTRT).
South Zone Chapter of AIMTC is starting a zonal transport strike to stop booking and delivery of consignments with effect from March 30. The Karnataka Lorry Owners Federation and South Zone Chapter of All India Confederation of Goods Vehicles Owners Associations will go on strike from April 1.
