N K Nanda will continue as NMDC’s Technical Director for upto three months after completion of his five-year term in the Board on November 30.
“Director, Ministry of Steel...has communicated that N K Nanda, Director (Technical), NMDC Ltd may continue in his post for a period of 3 months beyond November 30, 2013 or until further orders, whichever is the earliest,” the state-run iron ore producer said in a BSE filing.
“This issued with the approval of competent authority,” it added.
Nanda was inducted in the NMDC Board on December 1, 2008 after serving the company in various positions since 1999.
Nanda, who is in his early fifties, has more than 27 years of experience in the field of mining. He was also associated with Hindustan Copper Limited earlier. He holds a Master’s Degree in Mining from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.
