Real estate major Ansal API, which entered the education sector in 1989 with the Sushant School of Arts and Architecture (SSAA), announced the launch of its university of Wednesday.
The Sushant Group of Institutes in Gurgaon will now be known as Ansal University under the Haryana Private Universities Act.
Mr C.S. Nagpal, Director of Sushant Group of Institutes, said, “Technically Ansal University may be a new entity but for us its just a natural progression.”
Announcing that Mr Sushil Ansal, Chairman of Ansal API, will be the university’s first Chancellor, Mr Nagpal said they will take steps to make the university viable for all students.
Mr Ansal said over the next five years, Rs 70-100 crore would be invested in Ansal University — which will have eight schools in the disciplines of art and architecture, technology, international studies, applied science, design, management, computer application and humanities and languages.
