One more Tidel IT Park will come up at Pattabiram in Chennai at a cost of ₹235 crore. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami, laid the foundation stone for the facility today via video conference from the Secretariat.
The 5.57-lakh sq ft, smart building will create jobs for nearly 5,000 people in the first phase, said K Pandiarajan, Minister for Tamil Official Language and Tamil Culture. The facility will come up in Avadi, his Assembly constituency.
The 21-floor facility, to be completed in two years, will be the third Tidel Park in the State (there is one in Chennai and another in Coimbatore). When all the three phases are completed, over 25,000 persons will be working in the new campus, the minister told newspersons.
Taamaesek Engineering Consortium, a Chennai-based architectural firm, is the project’s engineering consultant, he said.
