Former Nasscom Chairman and Tech Mahindra Chief Executive Officer CP Gurnani has said that the country is facing a challenge in skilled resources, more so in emerging verticals such as Blockchain.
“Our present curriculum doesn’t allow for practising much,” he said.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday on the sidelines of the International Blockchain Congress, he said it was not just enough to have people with basic skills to make them ready for emerging technologies such as Blockchain.
“There’s a clear shortage for skilled workforce all over the world,” he added.
He said Eleven01 will help create skilled resources in the emerging area and in developing use cases.
$100-m target
In line with other IT majors in the country, Tech Mahindra has set sights on opportunities in Blockchain.
It expects to rake in $100 million this financial year from Blockchain-related projects.
