Engineering services company Infotech Enterprises Limited, a listed company, will be rechristened as Cyient Limited. The board of directors of the company has passed a resolution in this regard.
The resolution will now be put to vote through postal ballot for approval. The approval process is expected to last 30 days.
"For more than 20 years, we have collaborated with our customers to provide innovative solutions for a better future, BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman and founder, “said.
"With increasing global recognition of our services, we needed a unique identity that we can own and a brand promise we can live every day. The name Cyient has connotations to the words client and science, two important ingredients of our company's success. The "ient" references Infotech Enterprises and reflects the company's heritage and continuity,” he said in a letter to the staff.
