Randstad’s survey findings reveal that salary and employee benefits continue to be the top driver among Indian workforce while choosing an employer followed by long-term job security and financial health of the company.
While salary continued to be the top driver, the importance of salary was found to have decreased 6 per cent from 2015.
The survey further reflected that the Indian workforce prefer to work or move to sectors such as IT and communication (70 per cent) followed by automobile (66 per cent) and FMCG, retail and e-commerce (64 per cent). Presenting the survey insights, Moorthy K Uppaluri, Managing Director, Randstad India, said in a fiercely competitive job market, recruiting top talent, engaging and retaining them is fundamental to the company’s ability to grow.
“Companies that attract the right talent for the right job perform better,” he said emphasising the need for establishing and maintaining a consistent employer branding strategy.
The survey further revealed that men look for innovation, strong management and quality of products and services while choosing an employer, while women look for pleasant working atmosphere, good workplace accessibility and flexibility at work.
