Samsung launched two cameras on Tuesday at the Samsung Forum at Bali, in Indonesia.

Launching the NX30 camera, Vineet Taneja, Country Head, Mobile & IT, Samsung Electronics India, said the NX30 was a 20.3 MP compact system camera that had a APS-C CMOS sensor and captured pictures with a shutter speed of 1/8000 /sec. It also had a 9-frame per second continuous shooting function.

The camera comes with 80-degree tilt and has the ability to move from side-to-side up to 180 degrees, and upward and downward up to 270 degrees. It also has a tiltable electronic viewfinder.

The NX 30 comes with a 3 inch Super AMOLED swivel and touch display and has NFC and WIFI capabilities, making sharing easier. The Tag & Go function allows users to tap and share pictures instantly by pairing the camera with NFC enabled smartphones and tablets.

The Photo Beam feature allows users to transfer images and videos between smartphones and tablets by simply touching the devices together. The mobilink feature allows users to send to four distinct smart devices at a time. The Remote Viewfinder Pro function allows users to control many features of the NX30 from a smartphone.

The camera comes with Dropbox pre-loaded in selected regions. It also comes with the ability to upload to Flickr.

The NX30 is powered by the DRIMeIV image processor and the HDMI live streaming that enables the user to connect with a large screen, recorder and other HDMI devices.

Samsung Galaxy Camera 2

Vineet Taneja also announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2 - a “connected” camera - that allows users to shoot and share instantly. It comes with a 2000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Camera 2 has a 16 MP BSI CMOS sensor, 21x optical zoom, and is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor and 2 GB RAM. The integrated Dropbox app provides 50 GB of free cloud space for up to two years.

The Galaxy Camera 2 also has the WiFi and NFC capabilities, remote viewfinder and the Tag & Go feature. The Photo Beam feature allows to send the picture being viewed on the camera to a paired smartphone.

The Galaxy Camera 2 comes with a 4.8 inch HD super clear touch LCD screen. The multi-motion video feature allows users to set the speed of capture and ranging from eight times slower than normal speed and up to eight times faster.
