Marseille, France-based CMA CGM has named Rajesh Krishnamurthy to the newly created post of Group Senior Vice-President, IT and Transformations.
In September last year, CMA-CGM had signed a seven-year deal with Infosys to simplify and transform its IT applications and improve customer service. At that time, Krishnamurthy was President and Head of Europe and Global Head, Energy, Utilities, Telecommunications & Services at Infosys.
Among the five strategic priorities of CMA-CGM CEO Rodolphe Saadé, digitalisation is considered key, a company statement said.
To drive this strategy globally, the shipping company has set up a team of chief digital officers and established CMA CGM Ventures, a corporate venture structure dedicated to investments in innovative technologies, development of partnerships with major e-commerce groups, etc.
As part of its partnership with the shipping giant, Infosys will open a centre for development and innovation in Marseilles. Infosys has also taken over the group’s IT development centre in Dubai.
