Even as Chennai Super Kings completed their fourth win in five games on April 22, it also happened to be the most mentioned Indian Premier League (IPL) team on Twitter from April 16-22, according to the Twitter Audience Index for #IPL, released by the social networking site.

The site recorded 62.7 million live impressions in the second week of the tournament. It may be recalled that during the first week of IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) happened to be the most mentioned team on Twitter, with CSK in the second place.

During the week under review, KKR was ranked as the second most mentioned team on the micro blogging site, followed by 2013 champions Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab, the Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad, in that order.

Though Chennai Super Kings fans were roaring on Twitter making them the favourites that week, given their popularity, the most talked about game that week was #MIvCSK.

High flyers When Kings XI Punjab won in the super over against Rajasthan Royals, it was the top Tweets Per Minute (TPM) moment during the match, during April 16-22. When Royal Challengers Bangalore’s AB de Villiers hit 24 off one over by Lasith Malinga from Mumbai Indians, it was the second runner up to score on the TPM.

Similarly, when AB de Villiers fell for 42 to Kieron Pollard from Mumbai Indians with RCB on 129/6, and Dwayne Smith of Chennai Super Kings brought up his 50 versus Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super King’s Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Bravo brought up 107 off 7 overs against Mumbai Indians, all of them generated the top TMP moments.
