Asian stocks were trading flat on Wednesday, as profit-taking in resource-related shares was offset by gains in technology shares.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 was up 16.85 points or 0.18 per cent at 9,572.11. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 50.51 points or 0.21 per cent to 24,026.88. Singapore’s Straits Times climbed 15.24 points or 0.49 per cent to 3,153.24. South Korea’s Kospi was up 0.66 points or 0.03 per cent at 2,090.06.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 was up 4.4 points or 0.09 per cent at 4,903.10. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 7.22 points or 0.24 per cent at 3,014.15. Taiwan’s Taiex was down 1.39 points or 0.02 per cent at 8,731.20.
