Asian stocks were trading higher on Wednesday taking cues from overnight gains in the Wall Street.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 jumped 169.38 points or 1.79 per cent to 9,628.46. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng surged 355.48 points or 1.54 per cent to 23,415.84. Singapore’s Straits Times climbed 42.83 points or 1.4 per cent to 3,099.78. South Korea’s Kospi was up 16.21 points or 0.78 per cent at 2,088.34.
Australia’s S&P/Asx 200 rose 61.9 points or 1.3 per cent to 4,817.70. China’s Shanghai Composite was down 14.23 points or 0.48 per cent at 2,943.85. Taiwan’s Taiex gained 57.84 points or 0.67 per cent to 8,654.41.
