Gammon India Ltd has informed BSE that Gammon-OJSC Mosmetrostroy has been awarded two contracts of design and construction of underground stations and associated tunnels for Chennai Metro Rail Ltd amounting to Rs 1,947 crore.

Hindalco Industries Ltd has informed BSE that due to protracted acts of indiscipline by workmen at the company’s Alupuram plant, it was forced to declare a lock--out. The company does not expect any adverse impact on its financials due to the lock-out.

ACIL Cotton Industries Ltd has informed BSE that the board meeting held on February 23, 2011, inter alia, has decided to issue bonus shares in the proportion of one equity share for every one equity share held by the member. The proposal is subject to the members’ approval.

Jolly Board Ltd has informed BSE that a meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on March 3, 2011, to consider declaration of second interim dividend.

Transgene Biotek Ltd has informed BSE that at the board meeting held on February 22, 2011, the company has allotted 25,00,000 GDRs underlying 2,50,00,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each at $9.2 per GDR aggregating $23 million.











MindTree Ltd has informed BSE that the company has inked two multi-million dollar, multi-year IT Infrastructure Management Services deals with one of the largest ICT service providers in Europe and a leading US-based bank.

The combined deal size is over $70 million to be implemented in the next five years. MindTree will use its managed services platform MWatch to provide IMS as Managed Services from India. Specific areas of work include application and infrastructure support services, telecom support services and remote desktop management services.

Hexaware Technologies Ltd has informed BSE that the company has launched its first Private Cloud using VMware vCloud® Director and VMware vShield TM suite of products.

According to the company, the deployment represents India’s first full scale cloud infrastructure based on VMware’s automation, security and virtualisation platforms.
